Guys, I may have let the soundtrack of the first movie trick me into thinking I actually liked the movie itself…..

I absolutely hate how they tied everything up into some, the world is perfect, bow. This movie was a soulless string of scenes written to justify using songs in a way that was both forced and boring. Everything was too easy, the drama was barely felt. Rarely does an obvious cash grab feel like it cares so little about being worth your time and money.

The acting was…fine, but the characters are shallow and half of them only exist to allow for another song to be sung.

My biggest complaint, though, is if this movie is about her being strong and the power of women supporting women then why did it end with him giving up his dream to come back? I’m baffled by how little thought seems to have gone into having the movie have any sort of point.

Verdict: 2/5, mostly because I try to only give 1’s to things that offend me and this didn’t quite go that far. Watching this in the background while you clean is probably the appropriate attention to give it if you decide to watch it.
