Movie Review: Into the Woods (2014)
This is a decent movie version of a decent musical. This is in no way an amazing movie for the whole family or for a general audience.
The pacing was that of a musical. Lots of exposition that felt a little too drawn out for a average audience. Vocalization of plot elements that were obvious from the scenery. A narrator. But it’s a musical so what can you do. I won’t go into my likes and dislikes about the story. Continue reading
Movie Review: Annie (2014)
I was pessimistic about this movie not because I have a thing about reboots, which I oddly don’t, but because I absolutely hated the original. It is wholesomely shallow with not justification for any plot points. Yuck. This updated version wasn’t anything special but at least it didn’t make me gag.

Now don’t get me wrong. There are some deliciously big plot ideas that are unique and emotionally destructive. Few people can kill a character like this shows can. Yet, when I step back and look at this series I come away with exactly one question.
